Our Mission

-Welcome to the Gulf County Chamber of Commerce-
The voice of your business in Gulf County, Florida.

Looking ahead, our dedication to our members, as well as to the economic needs of the entire community, will be guided by our exciting mission: "be an advocate for existing businesses and the community, a conduit for pursuing positive developments, and a catalyst for cooperation."

To support this mission, the Chamber plays four key roles:

  1. Business advocate for increased competitiveness, entrepreneurship, infrastructure investment, and public and private sector collaboration.
     
  2. Community partner that convenes and works with leaders from different sectors to address critical and long-term issues.
     
  3. Catalyst for new ideas and actions to increase economic and employment opportunities.
     
  4. Provider of top-quality services, information, and events that meet member needs and help their businesses succeed.

The Gulf County Chamber of Commerce organizes two types of events:
Internal or member events, and External or community events.
 
Internal events include our Business Before Hours, Business After Hours and Networking At Noon Luncheons.
 
External events that are managed by the Chamber include our largest community events:
Scallop Festival, Yellow Fever Music Fest, Ghost on the Coast and Christmas on the Coast.
 
Chamber Events for 2010!
 
February 25th – 74th Annual Dinner & Meeting - One of the biggest nights of the year for the Chamber as we celebrate 74 years of promoting the business community in Gulf County.  the Annual Dinner affords us the opportunity to Celebrate the successes of the past year, Welcome our new leadership, Introduce new Board Members, Present awards to deserving members, and Recognize Board members who have fulfilled their terms.
 
May 29th - Yellow Fever Music Fest - Enjoy wonderful music of all types!  Food and Arts & Crafts Vendors will be there as well!

August 7th & 8th 14th Annual St. Joseph Bay Scallop Festival - This is a 2 day event - August 7th & 8th, Saturday and Sunday.  On Saturday, the activities will begin at 11:00am with the opening ceremony.  Scallops will be served from 11:00am - 6:00pm by PSJ Lions Club.  A great musical line-up will begin at 1:00pm and go until 10:00pm.  There will be many food and arts & craft vendors, Kid's Zone, Pony Rides, Petting Zoo, FREE arts and crafts activites for kids, and great activities for all ages all day!  On Sunday, Scallops will be served by various vendors, and all activites will continue until 6:00pm.  There is a $5.00 charge to enter the Festival on Saturday (for those 18 years and older only), NO CHARGE on Sunday.  You Don't Want to Miss It!!
